July 30th, 2019
Coverage by Doug Enriquez for ProWrestling.com

We start the show with Shane McMahon, who informs us that he will not be part of the show tonight. He says that one person is to blame, and that is Kevin Owens. He says that he is taking time to center himself so that he can get his emotions in check before facing Kevin Owens in two weeks. He says that he is getting his aura back and then Kevin Owens’ career will be over. And at Summerslam, he is going to look Shane in the eye, tell him he is the better man, and quit.

Kevin Owens comes out and he is not happy. He tells no one to panic, because Shane McMahon is not here tonight, but they can all get through it together! It will be ok! He wants to reassure Shane that him not being here is actually great news because Smackdown LIVE can actually be about the TALENT and not his stupid face!

But he says to not miss out on bringing his face to Summer Slam because he is not going to quit at Summer Slam and he will beat him. He will beat him so bad that he will know without a shadow of a doubt that he doesn’t belong in the ring with people like him. No one can stop him from showing up because of his last name, but he wants to make sure he knows that this is not his ring, this is not his show….because this is the KEVIN OWENS SHOW!!!

Out comes Drew McIntyre, who makes his way right out to the ring. Drew tells him that he talks too much, and instead he challenges Owens to a match later tonight. Owens accepts and McIntyre cheap shots him with a microphone. He throws him into the ring post and then onto and over the announce table. McIntyre gets back on the mic and says that that match is NEXT!!!

Owens gets himself together and the match starts as he charges at Drew and takes it to him. Owens charges at him and Drew turns him inside out. He picks Owens up and delivers a vertical Suplex to Owens before going for the pin, but Owens kicks out. Owens fights up and Charges at McIntyre again, but this time he’s hit with an overhead belly to belly.

McIntyre locks in an arm bar on Owens and works on the left arm. Owens fights up to his feet and hits Drew with a series of right hands. Drew sends him off the ropes and Owens runs into the big shoulders of McIntyre. McIntyre picks up Owens and chops him right back onto the mat. He locks in the arm bar once again and this time wrenches it in deep. Owens gets back up and Drew hits another overhead belly to belly. Drew goes for a cover, but Owens kicks out once again.

Owens gets up in the corner starts to fight back against McIntyre before McIntyre tries to charge at Owens, but goes shoulder first into the ring post. McIntyre collapses in a heap in the corner, and Owens surveys the area, runs at McIntyre and hits him with the Cannonball!! Owens climbs to the top and hits McIntyre with a HUGE frog splash in the center of the ring, goes for a cover, but McIntyre kicks out at two!

McIntyre gets up and Owens goes for the Stunner, but instead McIntyre sticks him with a Glasgow Kiss! He picks up Owens and hits a swinging side slam before trying for the cover, but Owens kicks out. McIntyre sets up in the corner for he Claymore, but Owens sees it coming and delivers a hell of a Superkick, well delivered into the chin of McIntyre! He sends Drew into the ropes and pops him up to hit the Pop Up Powerbomb!!! Owens goes for the cover…..1…….2……..McIntyre kicks out! McIntyre kicks out! WOW!!

Owens is looking to pull something off as he goes back to the top. McIntyre cuts him off and puts him on his back, and he hits a White Noise from the second rope!!! McIntyre goes for the cover and Owens once again kicks out at two! The match goes to the outside and McIntyre clears off the announce table. McIntyre sets up for something, but Owens counters with a Stunner! Owens puts McIntyre back in the ring and hits a second stunner to pick up the victory!
