WWE Raw ratings down eight percent coming off post-PPV bump

Even though the competition was much easier last night than the week before, Raw was down eight percent from last week with 2.84 million viewers.

But last week was unusually high due to coming the day after SummerSlam. Last night’s number was almost identical to the 2.82 million viewers from two weeks ago.

The episode had a big first hour, and then the show slid. For whatever reason, fans weren’t as intrigued by the Roman Reigns & Braun Strowman vs. Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre main event, because the show had a massive 10 percent second-to-third hour drop. The drop was biggest among women 18-49 with 16 percent tuning out and 21 percent of girls 12-17 also tuning out after the second hour. Males also dropped three percent in 18-49 and nine percent in 12-17 from hour two to hour three.

Raw was third on cable trailing Rachel Maddow at 3.28 million viewers and Hannity, also with 3.28 million viewers.

Raw’s third hour also beat ABC, Raw’s second hour beat CBS and Raw also beat FOX and CW for the night.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.08 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.93 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.63 million viewers
