Beige & Taupe is my favorite kind of neutral. It goes with just about everything imaginable, plus it’s a season-less color that can be worn no matter what time of the year it is. One lovely bag I recently fallen for is the Valentino by Mario Valentino Nina Bag in this soft universal shade.
As I mentioned a couple weeks back, this is not by the famed Valentino designer you’re thinking of. There are two Valentino designers out there- Mario Valentino and Valentino Giovanni. I was surprised to hear that people don’t realize this, even with the huge price and design difference. One of the reviews left for this bag was by someone who didn’t know this- “Returned item to store locally and learned this is a Mario Valentino, not the Valentino brand I expected.” Still though, Mario Valentino is a magnificent acclaimed designer worth following.
I think the Valentino by Mario Valentino Nina Handbag is cute, trendy and priced in an affordable price range that wont break the bank. The smooth Italian leather combined with the silver hardware give it a clean and fresh look. One of my favorite features is the chic woven leather and chain strap- wrap the chain around your wrist a couple times and carry handheld, completely remove and carry as a clutch, wear crossbody or over one shoulder. Very universal for an everyday handbag. My only gripe is the signature. Really, is the double signature necessary? The giant quilted “V” is enough signature for me, and the glued on a gold signature Valentino plaque is really just added fluff.
