Balenciaga has been introducing some new and exciting styles recently. They updated Balenciaga’s overall look and they added some much needed variety to the available selection. But as great as these newer styles are, I also feel as though the classics have been neglected a little bit. Balenciaga attempted to update some of their classic styles as well, but I think this went largely unnoticed. That is why I wanted to bring attention to the Balenciaga Metallic Edge City Bag!
There is no denying that the City is an iconic piece. However, it doesn’t hurt to freshen things up a little bit. I remember seeing the metallic edge designs awhile ago, but I didn’t pay too much attention at the time. Looking back on things now, I am sort of regretting it. I mean, just look at this bag! The Balenciaga Metallic Edge City is completely unique. The metallic edge is actually metal, not metallic leather piping. The gold tone sheen really pops against the black, yet it isn’t overpowering. Instead it highlights the classic features of this bag, giving it a subtle new look. It even seems to dress this bag up a little bit, making it ideal for transitioning from day to night with very little effort.
