Status Update on The Revival, WWE Lists Stars to Watch in 2019

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival have been praised for their work together in NXT, but ever since they were called up to WWE’s main roster, the duo have had some issues finding the same success. The Revival reportedly asked to be let go from the company after their match on Raw this past Monday night, but full details on the matter still had not been completely verified. in an update from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original report is true and the team did indeed ask for their releases earlier this week. Wilder and Dawson have been competing on Raw more only recently. The report said that they haven’t been let go yet, but they are expected to sign with AEW if they are granted their releases.
All Elite Wrestling is real and it could become a big threat to WWE down the line. The promotion has already made an impact by signing top names such as Chris Jericho to multi-year contracts, but there are now rumors of a possible exodus of WWE talent. Multiple WWE Superstars are said to be fed up with the way that they have been positioned by the company, and with different promotions locking down wrestlers to huge contracts lately, some WWE roster members are beginning to realize that there are places to compete for outside of the company. Mike Kanellis, Maria Kanellis, and Dolph Ziggler could all be on their way out of WWE soon, but it has also been reported that The Revival asked for their WWE releases earlier this week.
WWE is promising the fans that 2019 will mark a new beginning for the company. The company already demonstrated this by taking Braun Strowman out of the Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar and replacing him with fan-favorite Finn Balor. In addition to Balor, WWE has posted a list on their official website of other WWE Superstars to watch out for this year. The list includes the likes of new SmackDown Superstar Mustafa Ali, the class of 2019 NXT callups, new NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm, NXT Superstar Keith Lee, and several others. With WWE still looking to make changes this year, it will certainly be interesting to see which members of the WWE roster will truly break out this year.
