Spring Handbag Trend: Nautical Themes

Whether you like it or not, nautical themed items return year after year for the Spring season. Navy, red, and white are the big three when it comes to colors. Don’t forget about prints though! Stripes, anchors, ropes, and medallions are nautical theme “essentials”. With all of this nautical themed stuff, it is hard not to feel overwhelmed. Talk about sensory overload! Not to mention the fact that all of this can make nautical themes look very dated. So when designers revealed their nautical themed items for this coming Spring, I couldn’t help but flinch a little bit. Well, guess what. Rather than being completely put off, I was actually pleasantly surprised. The designers got it right! Simple and less traditional designs are dominating the nautical theme realm. I think perhaps this time around, I will embrace the nautical theme because these pieces are super cute!
