Speculation on Triple H’s WWE Plans Heading into WrestleMania 34

As seen at WWE Survivor Series last night, a number of double-crosses took place which could be setting up future story lines on both WWE Raw and Smackdown.

Of note was the finish of the main event, which saw Braun Strowman attack Triple H following the match, warning The Game never to cross him again. The match also saw Triple H turn on Kurt Angle, hitting him with The Pedigree. This lead to Triple H scoring the pin fall victory on Shane McMahon for Team Raw.

As we noted last week, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan when WWE brought Kurt Angle back to the company was an eventual Triple H vs Kurt Angle match at WrestleMania 34. While that match is a definite possibility, given the events which transpired at Survivor Series last night, match plans could go in two different directions.

Meltzer noted on this morning’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Angle vs Triple H has been the plan, however, he added, “Hunter and Angle at ‘Mania was the plan months ago, but who knows now.”

Bryan Alvarez, meanwhile, speculated that Triple H vs Kurt Angle could be taking place at WWE Royal Rumble, with Triple H vs Braun Strowman then taking place at WrestleMania 34.

Latest on Drew McIntyre’s Injury

We also noted over the weekend that former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre suffered a legitimate injury during his match against Andrade “Cien” Almas at NXT Takeover WarGames.

F4WOnline.com is reporting the extent of McIntyre’s injury is unknown at this time, but it appears to be a left biceps tear, and he will be undergoing an MRI this week. The injury likely took place during the big DDT spot in the match.
