Minimalism at its finest. That is what you should think of when you think of Mansur Gavriel. Never heard of this designer? Don’t worry, I hadn’t heard of them either. Don’t feel bad though. After all, they have only been around for a year or so. According to their profile, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel met in 2010. However, it wasn’t until April of 2012 that their New York-based company was launched.
Inspired by 1960s Italian style, Mansur Gavriel focuses on clean lines and simple shapes. So if you hate labels that are in your face and love classic styling, then this handbag designer is definitely for you! Net-A-Porter has just recently added this designer to their varied assortment of handbags. So far there are only a few styles available, but hopefully more will hit the virtual shelves soon. Of the currently available styles, I really love the bucket bag. It is just a simple black bucket bag, with a little pop of color inside. The totes are pretty awesome though too! And they are available in two sizes, small and large. Plus all of these handbags are pretty reasonably priced. Those featured on Net-A-Porter are between $400 and $500. Sweet!

About the Designer:
New York-based label Mansur Gavriel sources leather from a traditional Tuscan tannery to craft its clean-lined carryalls. The brand follows a “simple, elegant†design mantra – each piece is free from embellishment and finished with a bright color-coated interior.
The beautiful Italian vegetable tanned leather is a classic leather that shows its wear over time. Mansur Gavriel lays out some care instructions on their official website.
