RMC Sport report that Ligue 1 side Rennes have made an approach to sign Argentinian central defender Juan Foyth on loan from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.

Their priority target this position in recent days has been Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan, who can play either centrally or as a right-back, but RCSA’s demands, €20m, are turning SRFC off. The Brittany side had envisaged a deal worth €13m with their initial enquiries.
