FC Nantes have settled on the €4m signing of 28-year-old Belgian attacker Renaud Emond from Standard Liège.
A Championship club recently bid €3m to sign the man who has been with Liège since 2015, bringing FCN to outbid them, according to L’Équipe.
Emond has scored 7 goals in 14 matches in the league this season. The player is currently part of a winter training camp with the Belgian side in Marbella, but he is due to arrive in Nantes tonight to finalise contact talks over a 2.5 or 3.5 year deal.
This move closes the door on FCN’s pursuits of Yohan Boli (Sint-Truiden) and Majeed Waris (FC Porto).
