Third round will be the last round of Olympic Qualification tournaments. Drawing of lots for World Olympic Qualification Tournaments will be made on 3th March 2008 in Tokyo.
FIVB is preparing the third step of the qualification process that will lead 12 the best Volleyball teams of the world to Beijing 2008. Asian teams Japan, Australia, Korea, Iran and Thailand, will participate men's event in Japan and Indonesia and Chinese Taipei will be decided by drawing of lots.
The Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournaments will be played in Germany, Japan and Portugal. In addition to the three organizers and four Asian teams taking part in Japan (the tournament in Tokyo is also the Asian Qualifier), the participation of nine teams is confirmed as per the World Ranking and the relative continental rule (World Ranking in brackets):
