Ligue 1 side Lille on Tuesday confirmed the 6-month extension of 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Thiago Maia’s loan with Brazilian side Flamengo, which will see the deal run until this summer.

Maia has been on loan at Flamengo since January 2020 – he arrived at Lille in 2017 from Santos, playing 61 matches in Ligue 1 over 2.5 seasons but never acclimatising to French football.
