As initially reported by Manu Lonjon, our colleagues at L’Équipe are reporting that 26-year-old defensive midfielder and ex-Lille captain Ibrahim Amadou is joining Premier League newcomers Norwich City.
Under contract with Sevilla until 2022, Monchi had made it clear to the player that he had no place in the Andalusian side’s set-up.
He is set to sign a loan with option to buy deal with Norwich tomorrow. The option is understood to be worth around €10m.
The midfielder was also in advanced contact with Aston Villa and Club Brugge, with the latter side qualified for the 3rd qualifying round for this edition of the Champions’ League.
