New patent from ZWZ : a method for ensuring the measurement accuracy of axial clearance of four-point contact ball bearings

The National Bearing Engineering Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. under the ZWZ has submitted a patent application for a “method for measuring the axial clearance of a four-point contact ball bearing”. The application was submitted in June 2024 and was recently published, with the publication number CN 118687523 A.

According to the patent description, this invention provides a new method for accurately detecting the axial clearance of a four-point contact ball bearing. The specific steps include: first, use an integrated fixing and loading system to fix the bearing in a horizontal position; then use a measuring tool to touch the end face of the outer ring of the bearing and record the data; then rotate the fixing system 180 degrees, read the value on the measuring tool again, and determine the axial clearance by comparing the two measurement results. This method not only simplifies the operation process, but also improves the rationality and accuracy of the test results, ensuring the consistency and stability of the axial clearance measurement value.
