Gianluca di Marzio reports that Serie A side Napoli have made an approach for Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist claims that the player is also sought after by Real Madrid and is not worth less than €40m. di Marzio also notes that previous attempts to purchase Lyon players by Napoli have failed (Corentin Tolisso, Maxime Gonalons).
Napoli in the meantime are focusing on a right-back in Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier, having made an €18m to €20m offer for the English international, with Tottenham demanding €35m. Manchester United are also interested and Trippier’s priority would be a move to the Red Devils, per di Marzio, should they make an offer.
