MSGM Recycled Paper Bag. Mixed Media Edge!

Does anyone remember those recycled candy wrapper clutches and pouches? I always loved all of the different colors woven together into sort of a mosaic pattern. It creates a very unique and playful look, perfect for the young and the young-at-heart. You used to be able to buy them everywhere from novelty gift shops to street carts. But if you were really ambitious, you could make one yourself. And even though I probably outgrew them a long time ago, I still find myself stopping and smiling every time I see one. I probably wouldn’t carry one as a clutch now, but I could definitely get away with using one as a cute makeup pouch. Or maybe, just maybe, there is something out there that has a more grownup feeling to it. Oh wait, there is something! Meet the MSGM Recycled Paper Bag!

When it comes to fashion, Massimo Giorgetti sees it as an opportunity to create works of art. What I like about this bag is the use of more subdued recycled paper- woven recycled paper brings mixed-media edge! There is a little bit of color in there, but there is also a lot of black and white. If you look closely, you can even see pieces of words mixed into the design. The overall look actually reminds me of something you would see in a contemporary art gallery. The bag itself is quite lovely too. I like the flap closure and black leather trim. Plus the small size is perfect for such a “decorated” piece.
