When I was a kid, I wanted my own little handbag. I remember my grandma getting me one for Christmas one year. It was a cute bag that was shaped like a puppy. It was made of plush fabric, like a stuffed animal. The head was stuffed with polyester fiber fill and the body, which contained the actual compartment, was flat. The strap consisted of nothing more than a rope-like cord. It was very cute and perfect for a young girl without much use for a real handbag. Plus it was a puppy, so of course I loved it. This is what came to mind when I saw this new piece from Moschino. And when you see it, I think you will understand why. Meet the Moschino Faux Fur Bear Bag!
Yes, this is a handbag. Yes, it is shaped like a teddy bear’s head. In fact, this piece looks very much like my puppy handbag. The only difference is that mine had a flat body hanging below the three dimensional head. Oh, and mine probably cost less than $10. I must admit though, for a cutesie stuffed animal-like handbag, Moschino did a pretty good job. The teddy bear looks so happy and inviting, you literally find yourself wanting to cuddle it. This handbag is part of a larger collection of teddy bear-themed items, including the dress pictured on Chiara Ferragni. But I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. After all, Moschino has created some very, um, interesting pieced over the years.
