Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 Runway Quilted Alma Bag

It seemed like Marc Jacobs went all out for his last season as creative director at Louis Vuitton. The entire presentation was so… so… WOW! But as sad as I was to see him go, I have to admit that I was pretty excited to see what Nicolas Ghesquiè was going to bring to the company. The long wait is now over though! His first collection for Louis Vuitton hit the runway today!

According to Style.com, he appeared to be just as excited about the debut. He wrote a note to everyone who came and placed a copy on each seat. The note said:
“Today is a new day. A big day…Words cannot express exactly how I am feeling at this moment…Above all, immense joy”.

I spent quite a bit of time studying all of the pieces that made an appearance. Overall, the Fall 2014 collection is filled with beautiful pieces that feel fresh, yet very classic and sophisticated. For me, however, it was the handbags that stole the show! My eyes immediately landed on this new rendition of the classic Alma. I love the contrasting black and cream combination and the stretched diamond pattern quilting. This is one classy-looking handbag! In fact, it reminds me of the timeless style of Audrey Hepburn.
