Lizzie Fortunato Safari Poppy Clutch

“Poppies… Poppies. Poppies will put them to sleep”- Or so said the Wicked Witch of the West. But the poppies you see here are not magical, nor do they induce an eternal slumber. They are, however, quite lively. That is probably why they caught my eye as quickly as they did! Discover the Lizzie Fortunato Safari Poppy Clutch!

The color/pattern of this clutch is called Mandrinette, but that doesn’t make sense to me. In no way do the flowers resemble Hibiscus. They look like poppies to me, so poppies is what they shall be! They are very pretty flowers with a bold look to them. They look gorgeous in paintings and other works of art. So why not on a clutch? I love the elaborate embroidery and the contrasting colors. The red is so striking against the black background. I also love how Lizzie Fortunato uses leather on the backside of their clutches. Not only does it enhance to look and feel of them, it makes them more durable as well (no embroidery rubbing against your jeans, for example). This clutch would pair wonderfully with black attire. But it also has a vintage-like feel to it, making it perfect for a vintage-inspired look.
