L’Équipe report tonight that Lille left-back Reinildo Mandava is now set to to join Atlético Madrid this winter, instead of at the end of the season as originally agreed.
The 28-year-old had signed a pre-contract with Los Colchoneros, with his current LOSC deal expiring at the end of the season, but had asked the club to left him leave this window so that they could recoup a transfer fee.
The La Liga side are set to pay between €4m and €5m to secure the Mozambican’s services straight away. Reinildo, who had been in Madrid on Sunday, also saw his request accepted by Lille in light of his irreproachable attitude since being linked to a move away. He leaves having played a major part in the club’s title win last season.
