Lens and Clermont among clubs interested in signing Angers’ Thomas Mangani

Foot Mercato report this afternoon that Lens and Clermont are interested in signing Angers midfielder Thomas Mangani at the end of the season, along with two Ligue 2 promotion contenders.

The 35-year-old, who has been with Le Sco since 2015 after joining from Chievo Verona, sees his current contract expire at the end of the season and has yet to renew with the club.

Mangani has also attracted interest from Belgium, with Standard de Liège also in the running to sign the veteran.

The former Monaco and Nancy man’s future remains in doubt, with Angers looking to extend his stay for another year but Mangani himself not making that option a priority.

The midfielder has six goals and two assists this season in Ligue 1, as Gérald Baticle’s men sit in 15th place and winless in over a month.
