Karim Benzema’s lawyers yesterday submitted an official request for their client to meet with Mathieu Valbuena so that the Real Madrid man could “clear things up” with Lyon’s attacking midfielder, according to RMC.
Benzema is currently barred from seeing Mathieu Valbuena by the court after being charged with complicity in the act of blackmail by Versailles judge Nathalie Boutard.
This news emerges just a couple of days before the French Football Federation’s press conference on Thursday where they are expected to address that Mathieu Valbuena sextape affair, during which they may announce their decision to suspend Benzema from future French national team duty.
Benzema’s camp is hoping that a meeting with Valbuena could allow the two individuals to put the affair behind each other.
