Some people don’t know this about me, but I love snakes. Okay, I love a lot of animals. But there is something special about snakes. They have this charm about them that I can never seem to explain. I especially love rat snakes because I think they have the cutest faces. Their large eyes look like they are made of glass and they always have a little smile. I think that is why I had to take a closer look at the Jonathan Adler Vera Snake Convertible Clutch when I stumbled upon it earlier today. Who doesn’t like a clutch with a snake on it?
What really caught my eye was the gold and black combination. The gold tone hardware really pops against the smooth black leather background. The golden snake zigzags back and forth over the edge of the flap closure. I love the details of his scales and tongue. However, I do have one regret. I do not particularly care for the fangs. To me, they suggest that the snake is a ferocious beast. That is unfortunate because I know some very sweet snakes that wouldn’t harm a fly. Well, unless that fly happened to be a mouse. They do love to eat mice!
