When I was in high school, I loved hippie-inspired stuff. It was actually quite popular at the time. For handbags, I absolutely loved the little crossbody styles that were floating around. One of my favorites was a cream colored crocheted bag that my mom had found for me. But I also loved fringe (and still do today)! So when I saw the bag you see here, I instantly thought of my high school days. I suppose it is sort of fitting though since this bag is from the Girls We Hated in High School Collection by Jeffery Campbell. It is called the Lopes Bag and it is one of many styles from this collection geared toward a more youthful crowd.
There is no doubt that this piece is a fun and playful one! I like how it is two colors, orange on one side and fuchsia on the other, so you can have which ever color turned outward depending on your mood. The brown strap and fringe offer an unexpected compliment to the louder colors making up the rest of the bag. Very cute! But if you’re not wanting to wear this bag as a crossbody, you can always unhook the detachable strap and carry this little bag as a super cute clutch! I would have loved to own this bag when I was in high school. But I think I could still rock this bag today! Definitely as a clutch though!
