Jean-Marc Furlan leaves Brest, to join Auxerre

Brest, who have successfully won promotion to Ligue 1 this season, are parting ways with their manager Jean-Marc Furlan, who has decided that he would prefer to remain in the French second division next season.

Furlan, who was initially unhappy with the length of extension offers made to him by SB29, has decided to leave and will be managing Auxerre in Ligue 2 again next season.

In other Ligue 2 managerial news, Ouest-France report this morning that FC Lorient manager Mickaël Landreau has left his post following non-qualification for the Ligue 2 playoffs last night in the final round of regular action.
