French attacking midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa has informed PSG representatives that he will demand a season’s salary of €6m if they attempt to terminate his existing contract, according to Le Parisien.
Then Director of Football Patrick Kluivert made Hatem Ben Arfa a promise on the Parc des Princes pitch on May 27th that he would get in contact with the player’s representatives about his future situation via e-mail. Kluivert was not in the job long enough to complete that task.

Since the arrival of new Sporting Director Antero Henrique, there has been a busyness about the club that has not been seen since the days of Leonardo on the transfer side.
Henrique has sat down with the entourages of many key PSG players to discuss their future situation, but has not contacted Ben Arfa or any of his advisers, notably his lawyer Jean-Jacques Bertrand or his agent Michel Ouazine.
Ben Arfa has been on holiday in Miami since the end of May, and if nothing happens between now and July 4th, the former Nice man will turn up at pre-season for another campaign under Unai Emery.
PSG’s position is that they want to rid of Ben Arfa, but the player’s camp will make them pay him €6m, an entire year’s salary, if he they seek to terminate his contract. If they do not do this, Ben Arfa will stay at PSG, which would upset Unai Emery greatly.
Behind this visage, Ben Arfa himself would like to quit the club in the best possible conditions. If PSG do not ask for too high a transfer fee to sell Ben Arfa in the face of a club that is offering the player a good deal, the tension will dissipate.
Ben Arfa continues to dream of a move to Sevilla… good luck getting that.
