Gucci. Does anyone remember this designer? That may sound like a silly question, but Gucci has SO not been on my radar lately. Sure, they produce some gorgeous, iconic pieces. But after awhile, everything from Gucci just felt sort of “blah” to me. But when I saw the handbag you see pictured here, my interest in this designer was renewed. Introducing the Gucci Testa Tigre Medium Geranium GG Blooms Shoulder Bag!
This lovely piece features the classic Gucci signature print. So what makes this one special then? That would be the delicate geranium print on the flap. Geraniums are certainly an under appreciated flower. I love them though and I think it’s pretty neat to see them being used here. The geraniums are printed over the signature print fabric, giving the design almost a painted-on appearance. Overall, I think the geraniums fit in quite nicely here, complimenting the structured shape of the bag and contrasting with the signature print. I also love the chain strap and classic Gucci buckle. This bag is definitely meant for the fall season, despite the cheerful flower print. It would look lovely paired with fall colors such as brown and burgundy. Or maybe even burnt orange!
