It’s official – Goldberg will defend his newly captured WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns under the brights lights of WrestleMania.
The WCW legend returned to the ring this past Thursday at WWE Super Showdown, shocking the world by defeating Bray Wyatt’s alter ego known as “The Fiend”, delivering four monstrous spears and his signature Jackhammer.
As for Reigns, he finally moved past King Corbin in Saudi Arabia, defeating his long-time rival in a steel cage match. He wasted no time on Friday Night Smackdown this week, in marching to the ring and answering Goldberg’s classic challenge: “Who’s Next?”
This will be the fifth time in six years that Reigns is heavily featured in either a world championship or main event match at WrestleMania. His previous accolades include two matches with The Shield, defeating The Undertaker, challenging Brock Lesnar twice, and dethroning Triple H.
WrestleMania 36 emanates live from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL on Sunday, April 5th. There are now five matches officially confirmed for the show.
