I don’t normally write about insanely expensive, over-the-top extravagant handbags. However every once in awhile, I can’t help but stop and take a closer look when one that is particularly interesting catches my gaze. I think that is what happened here because when I saw the Dolce & Gabbana Enchanted Clock Box Bag, I found myself mesmerized by the design.
I suppose the word “enchanted” in the name is somewhat fitting here. For some reason it just stands out to me and holds my attention. I love the painted enamel-like look on the front. The swirls of blue in the background are gorgeous and reminiscent of a night sky. Surrounding the clock face are gilded adornments, which reminds me so much of my childhood home and the vintage clock hanging in my parents living room. Unfortunately, even though the clock face itself features a 3-D effect thanks to some clever layering, it isn’t a real clock. Other intriguing adornments incorporated in the Dolce & Gabbana Enchanted Clock Box Bag design include flowers, stars, snakeskin trim, and turn-lock closures. All together, this is one very extravagant bag! Even so, I don’t think it’s worth the five digit price tag – $13,000. You’re probably sitting there trying to justify the price of the bag, thinking it’s made of some ultra luxurious material like crocodile, python, etc. That is not the case here, Dolce & Gabbana Enchanted Clock Box Bag is made of Velvet, resign, brass metal, and crystal embellishments. But I suppose if you are a super hardcore Dolce & Gabbana collector, you might consider it.
