If you have been following my posts, then you probably know that my mom was a self-proclaimed hippie. And when I was a teenager myself, I was fascinated by this. I loved checking out my mom’s hippie clothes and would sometimes borrow things to wear. They were pretty cool, after all. During this time, I loved those cute little “hippie” bags that you could find just about anywhere. My favorite one was a cream crocheted crossbody. And even though I sort of grew out of the look as I grew older (I said sort of!), I still find myself secretly adoring those cute little “hippie” bags all over again. So you can probably understand why I think the Elliot Mann Your Bag is pretty darn cool!
I stumbled upon this bag while browsing around on ShopBop’s website. I had never heard of this designer, but the look of this bag still drew me in nonetheless. It turns out that Elliot Mann is a New York-based designer with a flair for bohemian chic, one-of-a-kind accessories. What I like about this bag is that the beads, coins, and ribbons adorning the bottom edge were reclaimed from vintage Afghani wedding belts. Neat! I really do love the look too, it is very unique. Plus is looks so cool paired with the solid, accordion pleated navy canvas. The bag is accented with a long leather strap and leather drawstring closure, perfect for use as a simple crossbody pouch.
