Remember the Louis Vuitton Fox Tail Clip from Spring 2010? I remember the conversation that went on over at the Bag Forum. You either loved it or hated it, there really was no in between. So when I stumbled across the Elena Ghisellini Lara Raccoon Hobo, my thoughts went straight to that conversation that took place over a year and a half ago.
What took me by surprise the most was the fact that this bag comes from Elena Ghisellini. It looks nothing like her other bags, which normally look very Givenchy-like. But perhaps she has decided to visually separate her designs for her own line from her designs for Givenchy. Whatever the reason, this particular bag really caught my attention. This lambskin hobo was accented with a large patch of raccoon fur on its front. And for a little extra flair, a raccoon tail clip was added to the side of the back. It is very Davy Crockett-ish, just like the Louis Vuitton Fox Tail Clip. But it’s not nearly as colorful. Now that I think about it though, I think I preferred the bright colors even though I wasn’t a huge fan to begin with. How does everyone else feel?
