MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team is back in action this week with a pair of dual meets. The Dragons will travel to nonconference foe Jamestown on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. dual, and then return home on Friday to host No .2 ranked St. Cloud State (7 p.m.).
The Dragons are 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They are in the midst of a difficult stretch of five matches which four opponents were ranked in the top 20 in the nation.
MSUM is looking for its fifth straight win over Jamestown dating back to 2011.
MSUM went 0-2 on the road last week, losing to two ranked foes. The Dragons lost to No. 14 Minnesota State, 29-18 on Thursday and lost to No. 8 Upper Iowa, 28-7 on Friday.
Senior Blake Bosch, who is ranked No. 2 in the nation at 133 pounds, is 21-5 on the year after going 2-0 last week. Junior Garret Hoffner is 13-8 at 157, while freshman Adam Blees is 10-6 at 165. Freshman Jared Goldsmith is 11-9 at 125 while junior Nader Abdullatif is 6-4 at 285. Freshman Brayden Kuntz is 11-10 at 174 for the Dragons.
Kris Nelson is in his seventh season as MSUM’s head coach.

Jamestown is 3-8 in duals so far this season. In their last dual on Dec. 13, the Jimmies fell at Northern State, 31-9. Senior Mike Nord is 7-0 at 174 for the Jimmies while freshman Brandon Aragon is 12-6 at 149. Jesse Barajas is 9-5 at 125 for the Jimmies, who are 0-2 against teams from the NSIC this season. Dan Lovell is in his first season as Jamestown’s head coach.

About St. Cloud State
The Huskies, the defending Division II national champions, are ranked No. 2 in the nation. They are 8-1 on the year and 0-0 in the NSIC. St. Cloud State went 3-0 at the Ranger Duals in Kenosha, Wis., last weekend. St. Cloud State boasts five wrestlers ranked in the top six nationally in their respective weight classes: No. 1 Austin Goergen (285, 19-0 record), No. 1 Clint Poster (165, 21-1), No. 1 Tim Prescott (125, 6-2), No. 4 Clayton Jennissen (174, 18-3), and No. 6 Jay Hildreth (149, 18-4). Steve Constanzo is in his 10th season as the SCSU head coach with a record of 144-27 at the school.
