WWE.com reported Wednesday that #DIY and NXT Tag Team champs Authors of Pain will battle for the belts in a ladder match at TakeOver: Chicago on Saturday, May 20.
The Authors of Pain ended #DIY’s title reign in January and #DIY failed to regain their titles in the TakeOver: Orlando triple-threat match which also included The Revival.
The Authors have seemed invincible since taking NXT by storm. However, a ladder match might not be the forte of the Authors’ team of 290-pound Azam and 330-pound Rezar.
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano of #DIY have scored victories over the Vaudevillains and The Revival at past pay-per-views, and may take advantage of the ladder stipulation to once again rise to the occasion.
