Deysa’s Favorite Designer of 2012: Diane von Furstenberg

As the year comes to an end, we reflect back on our fashion favorites of 2012. With ever changing trends and styles, there were many inspiring designers, both known and new, who did superb jobs in presenting artistic elegance and beauty to the fashion world. If I’d have to recognize just one fashion trendsetter who in my opinion, has truly emerged within the past couple of seasons, I’d have to say that’s Diane von Furstenberg.

The Belgian designer has always been an influential figure in women’s fashion. Her retrospective designs for the modern women influences an audience of diverse generations. I’ve always admired her iconic designs, colorful patterns and her feminine works, but during these past seasons, we’ve witnessed bolder and fun trendsetters that have created some of the best pieces yet! Throughout the year we definitely digged the adorable and extra affordable canvas totes that arrived in different patterns and hues.

From resort to summer friendly, and with ranging price tags below $300, women of all ages truly approved of them. We also witnessed fun clutches and adorable minaudieres year round. DvF incorporated all types of animal prints, objects, and glimmer effects into these fancy boxes, which were truly embraced by treasure seekers alike. Thank you Diane von Furstenberg for such a successful year of fabulous designs and for keeping affordability to your loyal fans.
