Saudi Arabia, one of the most regressive and religiously orthodox countries in the world had recently announced its decision to allow women in to watch matches in soccer stadiums. The decision was lauded as a progressive step in the right direction by most of the world.
But now, a senior Darul Uloom cleric has issued a religious decree saying that Muslim women should not watch men playing soccer.
