At last night’s NJPW New Year Dash Event, there was a 10-man match between Bullet Club (Cody, Chase Owens, Marty Scurll, Yujiro Takahashi & Leo Tonga) and Taguchi Japan (Kushida, Kota Ibushi, Dave Finlay, Juice Robinson & Ryusuke Taguchi). After Bullet Club won the match, Cody attacked Ibushi to avenge for his loss at Wrestle Kingdom 12.
The rest of Bullet Club were about to gang attack Ibushi in the ring, but Kenny Omega ran in and stopped them. He then got in an intense shoving face-off with Cody, emphasizing that he is the leader of the faction. Cody later tweeted that things got heated, and he apologizes.
