Superstar actor Chris Hemsworth will be playing the role of Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic for Netflix according to a story posted by The Hollywood Reporter.
Todd Phillips will be directing off a script by Scott Silver and John Pollono. Michael Sugar, Todd Phillips, and Bradley Cooper will be producers along with Hemsworth himself and former WCW President Eric Bischoff.
The deal took months of negotiations according to THR and is in the final stages of completion. The deal includes life rights, with Hogan acting as a consultant and executive producer as well.
The movie is described as an origin story of Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania and will focus on the rise of Hulkamania rather than covering Higan’s entire life.
