Hoo love owls? I never used to have a thing for owls. Recently, they have been growing on me though. It isn’t that I didn’t like owls, I just never realized how cute they are! Charlotte Olympia has been a hot designer around here. I suppose it is because her designs are so incredibly unique, it is almost natural for us to want to write about them. I suppose it is no surprise then that this particular piece was simply calling to me. What I like most about it is the seemingly endless buffet of textures. The eyes are made of crystals and the rings surrounding the eyes are embroidered. The wings are suede and the head is smooth leather. As for the owl’s tummy, that is made of beautifully embossed metallic gold leather. The pattern sort of reminds me those tin ceilings you find in old buildings. Overall, this is a very cute piece and it would be perfect for when you want to add a little quirk to your look.
