Charlotte Olympia looked to the zoo for inspiration for her latest handbag collection! One adorable clutch from the collection that caught my eye is the ‘Bao Bao’ panda clutch. The Acrylic glass box clutch is painted and embellished with crystal eyes on one side and topped off with a bamboo leaf fastening hardware clasp. To open, pull the bamboo leaf upward, like a drawer.

Who is Bao Bao? Bao Bao (meaning precious or treasure) is a female Giant Panda cub who lives at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. Giant pandas are an endangered species, and are protected in part by conservation efforts at reservations and in zoos such as the Smithsonian National Zoo.
