Cartier Jeanne Toussaint Bag by Montaigne Market

Montaigne Market Boutique in Paris collaborated with Cartier on a limited edition handbag! They gave the Cartier classic Jeanne Toussaint Bag a rock ‘n’ roll vibe, by producing it in a combination of cracked leather, smooth leather and ponyskin, with a decorative silver chain.

The bag is available in 13 numbered editions- a reference to Cartier’s historic flagship at 13 Rue de la Paix. And if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one of the thirteen, it retails around $5,056. Available exclusively at MontaigneMarket.

Jeanne Toussaint was Director of Cartier Fine Jewelry in 1933, where she dramatically impacted jewelry design. Under her guidance, Cartier filed a patent for the “invisible mount”, a stone-setting technique in which the metal of the mount disappears to show only the stones. She was also responsible for Cartier’s whimsical birds and the famous caged bird designs.
