Brest want at least €15m for Franck Honorat

As reported by L’Équipe, Brest will refuse any other of less than €15m for star forward Franck Honorat this summer with sporting director Grégory Lorenzi explaining “I will not give any gifts” as the transfer window gets up and running.

The 25-year-old versatile forward, who was used everywhere from wing-back to all across the attacking line this season, managed 11 goals and six assists in 34 Ligue 1 games for the Breton side who finished a creditable eleventh on 48 points.

Having impressed with Clermont in Ligue 2, earning himself a move to Saint-Etienne in 2019, Honorat struggled for form with Les Verts but has been revitalised at Brest. In his two full seasons there, he’s managed 29 goal contributions in 70 league games.

With his current contract running to 2025, Brest do not have to sell, although, the player, say the sports daily, could be keen to move on after such a successful year as one of Ligue 1’s standout players in the bottom two-thirds of the table.

The club could see a significant overhaul in their attack with Martin Satriano returning to Inter Milan after a loan period and Algerian international Youcef Belaïli unlikely to be retained after a short-term deal.
