As seen on WWE Raw this week, Ronda Rousey was storyline suspended for thirty after she attacked Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss then proceeded to attack Raw GM Kurt Angle and several WWE referees. Rousey will be eligible to return to WWE TV on July 18th, but will continue to appear at live events as scheduled. After Rousey’s suspension was announced, she was still being advertised for upcoming Raw TV tapings, but she has since been pulled from next Monday’s Raw.

Since being suspended, Rousey is working a countdown angle on social media, in which she is counting down the days until she returns to WWE TV, and is issuing warnings to Alexa Bliss upon returning to Raw. As seen on Raw this week, it was announced that Alex Bliss will defend the title against Nia Jax at WWE Extreme Rules next month. With the PPV taking place on July 15th, the suspension angle with Rousey allows her to miss Extreme Rules so Bliss and Jax can have their title rematch. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, following Extreme Rules, the plan appears to be, as of now, for Rousey to return to TV after her suspension and begin a title feud with Alexa Bliss heading into WWE SummerSlam.

In related news, UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg has offered to train Alexa Bliss ahead of her impending encounter with Rousey:
