Big E & Jimmy Uso Teaming Up On Smackdown Tonight, Former Impact Champion Possibly Heading to WWE

WWE has announced Big E and Jimmy Uso will team up to face The Bludgeon Brothers on WWE Smackdown Live tonight.

WWE announced after Fastlane that Xavier Woods was taken to a local medical facility following the beatdown from The Bludgeon Brothers, so Woods likely will not appear on Smackdown tonight in order to sell the story line injuries.

Former Impact Champion Possibly Heading to WWE

As we noted over the weekend, former Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Taiji Ishimori announced at a recent press conference that he will be leaving Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Dave Meltzer speculated on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that while Ishimori did not announce plans to sign with WWE, the feeling at the press conference was that WWE is definitely a possibility. Ishimori did admit that WWE is his ultimate goal in pro wrestling, which is why he might have decided to depart NOAH.

As noted, Ishimori has been one of the linchpins of the NOAH juniors division for several years now, and he dropped the X-Division Championship to Matt Sydal on the most recent episode of Impact Wrestling television. No word on Ishimori’s future with Impact, as he did not address the company during his NOAH announcement.

Taiji Ishimori left NOAH saying if he didn’t take a big step now, he’ll regret it forever.
