There is no questioning that I love Balenciaga handbags. My favorites, of course, are the classic motorcycle styles. Sort of the signature of the Balenciaga brand, these handbags are iconic and instantly recognized. However, that doesn’t mean that they don’t get spruced up a bit every once in awhile. Whether it is a new color or texture, each rendition has its own unique appeal. What caught my eye with the Balenciaga Raffia & Leather Mini City Bag though was both the color AND the texture!
The Mini City Bag has everything you like about the traditional City Bag rolled up into a tiny little package. It is the perfect size for use as a crossbody bag. What is unique about this particular one is the raffia! The teal colored raffia adorns the front in a loose weave, giving it a great summer feel. In the picture, the leather trim looks black, but it is actually dark blue. I just love the mixing of blue tones! The look has this tranquility-like quality to it. It is soothing, calming, and just plain “cool”. This bag would look great as part of downtown ensemble for summer. You could even pair it with dark denim!
