Bag Designer Awards 2011: Marissa picks Rebecca Minkoff!

A few years ago I saw a picture of Kristin Cavallari carrying a gorgeous satchel. It was either white or pink but it was stunning. I remember she was wearing sweats but the bag was the star of the picture. It was a bag that really caught your eye. I searched high and low trying to find out who the designer was and one day I saw a thread on the forum about the Rebecca Minkoff “Morning After” Bag. Talk about falling in love so quickly with a designer I had never heard of before. Unfortunately, the bag was out of my price range but it was on my wish list for quite sometime.

Living in Florida, I’m surrounded by outlet malls. Whether you’re in South, Central or North Florida they’re everywhere! At the moment, I live fairly close to a Saks Fifth Avenue outlet. One day when I was taking a gander around the purse department I saw a Rebecca Minkoff “Morning After” Mini at a great price and I had an extra 25% off coupon. I was in heaven, I paid less than $200 and it instantly became one of my favorite bags.

I write about Rebecca Minkoff often and this year I’ve noticed she has really stepped out of the box. She has designed some pretty stunning bags that are just as pleasing to the eyes as the “Morning After” Bags. Even her accessories, clothing and shoes are amazing. There is nothing Mrs. Minkoff designs that isn’t amazing. There is something for everyone and her designs are so versatile. She has me for a fan for life and I look forward to buying more of her designs in the future.
