Backstage Update On Paul Heyman’s WWE Status & Vince McMahon Changing His Stance on Managers, The Bar Appearance

According to PWInsider.com, Paul Heyman has been backstage at recent WWE TV tapings working in a behind-the-scenes capacity, but it remains to be seen if or when he will be used on television again.

In somewhat related news, as seen on WWE TV in recent weeks, the concept of the “manager” has been somewhat resurrected with Drake Maverick now aligning himself with AOP and Lio Rush seemingly poised to manage Bobby Lashley.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, for many years Vince McMahon has taken an “anti-manager” stance in WWE, but with the success of Paul Heyman’s pairing with Brock Lesnar, it appears as if Vince has pulled back on his negative view towards the manager role in WWE. The report furthers WWE is also considering bringing in talents from the indie scene to fill managerial roles, or use talents under contract who are doing very little.
