Backstage Speculation On Potential WWE Championship Match For WrestleMania 35

At this point in time, it is unclear what the WWE Championship match will be at WrestleMania 35, however, a report from Dave Meltzer has helped shed some light on the situation.

During the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer discussed the possible WWE Championship match for WrestleMania 35, speculating that the current plan is for Daniel Byran to face someone who will be returning to the company.

Bryan is expected to be the man who walks into WrestleMania as the WWE Champion and many names have been rumored as opponents, with Kofi Kingston currently being the fan favorite, though Meltzer doesn’t expect the New Day member to get the spot.

Meltzer reported a list of names that have been discussed by WWE which includes; Bray Wyatt, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Kurt Angle, John Cena, Dave Batista and The Undertaker.

Sami Zayn is not expected to be medically cleared in time for WrestleMania, and WWE reportedly has other plans for John Cena and Kurt Angle. WWE reportedly has opened discussions with The Undertaker about a possible WrestleMania match, although he is not a guaranteed name to appear.

It remains to be seen who will face Bryan at WrestleMania, but his opponent for WWE Fastlane is set to be revealed tonight.
