KVSC’s John O. Peterson interviews #2 St. Cloud State University wrestling coach Steve Costanzo.
Costanzo talks about his team’s preseason progress and the upcoming Black/Red Classic intra-squad match on Friday, Nov. 2 in Halenbeck Hall. This annual match will begin at 7 p.m. and it will feature honorary coaches Bob Boeck and John Sundgren this year.
The match serves as a warm-up for the Huskies’ season opener on Nov. 10 at the Harold Nichols Open in Ames, Iowa. SCSU will open its home season on Dec. 8 with the Holiday Inn/Husky Open in Halenbeck Hall.

The Huskies finished the 2011-12 season with a 21-0 record and as runners-up at the 2012 NCAA Division II championships. SCSU captured the 2012 NSIC championship along with winning the 2012 NCAA Division II Regional championships and the 2012 NWCA Division II National Duals title under the guidance of Coach Costanzo.
