I don’t know a whole lot about Anndra Neen. However, what I do know is that this designer makes some very unique statement jewelry. Founders Phoebe and Annette Stephens take their inspiration from Egyptian motifs and Bauhaus graphics. Plus each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Mexico City using metal alloys such as alpaca silver. Beautiful! Never in my wildest dreams though did I think I would see a handbag from this designer. Did I miss something somewhere? When did Anndra Neen start making them? Oh well, it is a lovely surprise nonetheless and this particular piece has really caught my eye. Introducing the Anndra Neen Mirrored Gold Streak Alpaca Metal Box Clutch!
What grabbed my attention most was the metal exterior. It is so shiny and the ripple-like pattern reminds me of ripples on the water. The overall effect is very mesmerizing. I love it! What is really cool about this piece, however, is how the clutch is literally a piece of metal that has been molded. The exterior is rigid and the opening on top opens with a hinge. The clasp is neat too! It reminds me of a box or trunk clasp. This piece would look great for a formal event. It is definitely different. The perfect conversation piece!
