Net-A-Porter has a somewhat new collection called Finds, which is made up of unique pieces discovered by the buyers on their travels across the globe. The collection is always changing, so it is advised to check back often. Well recently, one piece in particular caught my eye. It is a bag from En Shalla, an Anglo-Moroccan company (Hence the slogan: Born in Morocco, Bred in London) that blends North African art with modern fashionable ideas to create unique accessories and ready-to-wear. Each piece is hand made and can be made to order directly through the company. But I must say, the Finds + En Shalla Beaded Fringed Leather Shoulder Bag currently available on Net-A-Porter is perfect in every way. I wouldn’t change a thing!
The first thing that caught my eye was, of course, the color. I absolutely love red handbags, especially for the fall and winter months. They are surprisingly versatile, pairing well with black or brown. This is such a rich shade of red too! I’m also head-over-heels in love with the fringe. This bag is covered in long, gorgeous strands of lambskin leather. What I find rather unique though is the bead work. If you look closely, you will see strands of seed beads mixed in with the fringe. I really think this sets this particular bag out from the rest of the fringed bags you see floating out there right now. I’m impressed by the shoulder strap on this piece as well. It is thin and braided, but there is a wider “pad” for where the strap sits directly on your shoulder. So you get the look of a dainty strap, but the comfort of a wider strap.
